In
addition to lighting in-house productions currently
shooting at Kaufman Astoria Studios, including
Cosby and Sesame Street, K/A/S Lighting trucks and

"When they're working in New York, the top
directors and producers in film and television
today turn to K/A/S Lighting . We work with the
best talent in the business. When they call on
K/A/S Lighting for their film or television project
they expect the best and that's what we deliver,

New
York's growing independent film market is rapidly
becoming another source of business for K/A/S
Lighting. As an increasing number of producers
discover the wonders of shooting in New York City
and environs, they too have turned to K/A/S
Lighting for their film work.
"We see the independent film market as a tremendous
growth area for K/A/S Lighting," Rosenbluth
explained. "The Definite Maybe, another small
independent film that we co-produced won Best
Feature Film at The 1998 New York International
Independent Film Festival. The foreign independent
film market is also discovering New York City. We
recently completed on-location work for Open City,
a Czechoslovakian film that shot here. There's a
lot of potential in the independent market, and we
expect to become more involved in this area of the
business."

K/A/S
Lighting's day-to-day operations are guided by Bob
Schulman and Mike Spera, two talented, respected
and well known industry veterans. "Between the two
of them, it's hard to imagine any lighting job they
couldn't ace. These two guys are tops in their
field," said Rosenbluth. "They've done it all, from
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade to Woody Allen's
films. In-studio, or on-location, they are a
complete lighting resource. Their ability to
anticipate needs and service the client at all
costs is what makes me proud and the company stand
out."
